Fiona Ogilvie

Fiona has been a passionate gardener nearly all her life. She and Bill, her husband, have made three gardens: the first in Sydney, the second at Rockley and the present one on their farm at Bathurst where they have lived since 1988.

Wanting to encourage others to share her joy in gardening, Fiona started writing a weekly column for The Land in August, 1995. It was an instant success and has won her a wide readership throughout rural New South Wales and beyond. Fiona also writes a regular column for Living Magazine and for the quarterly Your Garden, and in her book, A Country Garden, tells the story of how and why gardening became so important part to her life.

As well as gardening and writing, Fiona loves travelling, visiting gardens in Australia and overseas, and hunting for unusual plants in nurseries and in the wild.
