Wagner’s Parsifal in Melbourne

Join classical music broadcaster and musicologist Phillip Sametz for an impressive fully-staged production of Richard Wagner’s operatic masterpiece Parsifal by the Victorian Opera at Melbourne’s glorious Palais Theatre.

Conducted by Richard Mills AM, and directed by Roger Hodgman, this bold production features some of the world’s most acclaimed Wagnerian singers, including Burkhard Fritz as Parsifal, Katarina Dalayman as Kundry and internationally revered Melbourne baritone Derek Welton as Klingsor, who sang the role at the Bayreuth Festival in 2017.

Cap off your weekend in Melbourne with a private recital in the historic suburban Melbourne villa of Astolat, featuring a program of late-Romantic arias and Lieder by singers of the Melba Opera Trust.
