Melanie Pitkin

Dr Melanie Pitkin is an Australian Egyptologist and museum curator. She received her PhD on the history and chronology of Egypt’s First Intermediate Period from Macquarie University in 2017 and currently works as a Research Associate in Egyptology at the Fitzwilliam Museum, University of Cambridge. Prior to this, Melanie was a curator for more than a decade at Sydney’s Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences. She has worked on several archaeological digs and travelled extensively throughout Egypt.
