Journey Along the Silk Road
Navigate the fabled trading thoroughfare of the Silk Road, journeying from China’s ancient capital of Xi’an through the dramatic landscapes and bazaars to Kashgar.
From Xi’an, the ancient capital of Imperial China, traverse the Silk Road heading west to the monasteries of ‘Little Tibet’ in Xiahe. Continue on to the desert oasis of Dunhuang and explore the 1,500 year-old Buddhist statues and frescoes of the Mogao Caves. Travel onward to Ürümqi and Turpan through the lands of the Uyghur Muslims, and finish your expedition in the great trading crossroads of Kashgar, China’s gateway to Central Asia.
