The Salzburg Easter Festival marks a significant return in 2026 of the Berlin Philharmonic to Salzburg, re-establishing a tradition initiated by Herbert von Karajan in 1967. Over seven days, witness some of the world’s renowned conductors, including Kirill Petrenko, Daniel Harding and Tugan Sokhiev, lead performances such as Haydn’s The Creation, Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique, Mahler’s monumental Symphony of a Thousand and a new production of Wagner’s Das Rheingold.

To complement the festival, spend three nights in Munich for opera performances at the Bavarian State Opera. Experience Wagner’s transcendent Parsifal with renowned American heldentenor Clay Hilley in the lead role, Puccini’s Tosca under the baton of Marco Armiliato and Verdi’s powerful Macbeth, portrayed by emerging Mongolian baritone Amartuvshin Enkhbat.
