Artists performing in the 2026 festival include Berlin-based cellist Martin Smith, London-based violist Richard Waters, Australian pianist Michael Ierace and violinist Elizabeth Layton. Enjoy introductory talks by Artistic Director Kate Suthers as well as the insights of your tour leader, pianist and music specialist Stewart Kelly.

Between performances, be treated to gourmet meals paired with specially selected McLaren Vale wines.

Itinerary

Arrive in Adelaide on suggested flights. Renaissance Tours or your travel agent can assist you with your flights and other travel arrangements, including extra nights’ accommodation and a private transfer from the airport.

At 13:00, meet your tour leader Stewart Kelly and fellow travellers at the entrance of the InterContinental Hotel Adelaide. Then, travel by coach to McLaren Vale and check into the hotel.

In the evening, attend a pre-performance talk with tour leader Stewart Kelly at the hotel, followed by a welcome dinner.

In the morning, transfer to Coriole Vineyards, a distinguished winery situated in the rolling hills of McLaren Vale, with views of the Willunga Hills and the Fleurieu coast.

After an introductory talk by Artistic Director Kate Suthers, attend the opening concert, titled Young Explorers, featuring two compositions of Korngold and Mahler.

Following a gourmet lunch, enjoy some time to wander through the estate’s unique, multi-level Australian cottage garden, with breathtaking views of the valley.

In the afternoon, attend a panel discussion with Kate Suthers and musicians, before a concert inspired by Emily Dickinson’s evocative poetry, featuring acclaimed Australian soprano Desiree Frahn.
