The Renaissance Tours Grand Tour Festival
Follow in the footsteps of British aristocrats discovering the splendours of the continent in Europe’s Grand Tour tradition, on this four-day musical journey at Tasmania’s historic Epsom House.
Crafted exclusively for Renaissance Tours patrons, revel in five carefully curated performances over a weekend that evokes the countries most frequented on these voyages, with selections of music from France, Italy, Germany, Russia and the Czech lands. Delight in the work of Europe’s most revered composers, including pieces by Debussy, Tchaikovsky, Schumann, Verdi and Janáček.
Admire performances by some of Australia’s most celebrated musicians, with concerts presented by the Seraphim Trio, soprano Lorina Gore and versatile chamber musician Kristian Winther.
The experience is rounded out by the expertise of festival host and classical music broadcaster Christopher Lawrence, who introduces each performance, and by a gourmet menu of food and wine carefully chosen to complement the festival’s theme.
