This acclaimed exhibition brings a stunning collection of over 100 works from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Begin the day with a talk by Matthew Westwood in the hotel’s meeting room.
Afterwards, transfer to Heide Museum of Modern Art, located on the Yarra River north-east of Melbourne. This historic creative hub, once a popular gathering site for artists of the Heidelberg School, often referred to as an Australian impressionism movement, hosts a fine collection of modern and contemporary Australian art set within a stunning sculpture park and heritage-listed gardens.
Discover the temporary exhibition Albert Tucker: Spirit Worlds and Dreamscapes, which explores Tucker’s life-long fascination with spiritual and esoteric ideas through key works and previously unseen art.
After lunch, return to the Melbourne CBD and visit The Ian Potter Centre. Marvel at this striking architectural space housing an extensive collection of Australian art, including Indigenous masterpieces and contemporary works, and the renowned Joseph Brown Collection, the most significant single gift of works of art ever made to a public gallery in Australia.

This morning, walk to the National Gallery of Victoria for a private, guided tour of French Impressionism, the blockbuster exhibition developed by the NGV with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
Chartering the trajectory of late nineteenth-century Impressionism and Post-Impressionism in France, the exhibition brings over 100 works of art from the collection at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Paintings from Monet, Renoir, Degas and other Impressionists will be displayed in ten thematic sections along with their letters, journals and articles.
The remainder of the day is at leisure to further explore the National Gallery of Victoria at your own pace.
