At 9:00am, meet Genevieve and fellow travellers at the rear entrance of the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney on Harrington Street. Then, depart Sydney for Bathurst and enjoy a private tour of Bishop’s Court Estate. The focal point of the property is its beautifully decorated Victorian manor house surrounded by an acre of parkland gardens and its historic stone chapel built in 1908.

After lunch, continue to Orange and check in to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner with Genevieve and fellow tour members.

(LD)

Today, enjoy a guided tour of Millthorpe Garden Nursery with the head gardener before strolling in Cook Park with Genevieve to marvel at the mature trees planted in the heart of Orange.

The afternoon is at leisure to relax or explore Orange at your own pace before dinner at a local restaurant.

(BD)

This morning, visit a private country property where inspired owners have transformed the landscape and the 1877 Georgian homestead. Enjoy a guided walk through the splendid four-hectare garden including a lake and magnificent half-hectare vegetable garden.

In the afternoon, visit a private garden outside town filled with a variety of azaleas, rhododendrons, Japanese maples and many other plants that thrive in Orange’s cool climate.

The evening is at leisure.

(B)

After breakfast, travel to the town of Canowindra to visit a local nursery with its own picturesque garden utilising the unique colours, textures and forms of drought- and frost-tolerant perennials and shrubs.

Enjoy lunch at Noojee Lea, a private estate with an early-1900s homestead, an orchard filled with citrus, stone fruit, almond, pistachio, pear, mulberry and fig trees and a landscape garden successfully reshaped by renowned garden designer Paul Bangay.

Return to the hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy the evening at leisure.

(BL)

Today, explore the multi-award-winning Cowra Japanese Garden. Opened in 1979, the peaceful garden with its manicured hedges, waterfalls and streams also includes a strolling garden that symbolises the Japanese landscape, a traditional Edo cottage, an authentic open-air tea house and a bonsai house.

After lunch, enjoy a stroll through the historic village of Carcoar before returning to Orange in the late afternoon.

The evening is at leisure.

This morning, transfer to the Central Tablelands town of Oberon to explore Mayfield Garden, the epic showpiece of a noted Sydney property developer. One of the world’s largest privately-owned cool-climate gardens, Mayfield features hidden nooks, woodland meadows and floral artistry, and combines locally hewn bluestone paths winding through flower beds bursting with seasonal species.

Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for some time at leisure before joining Genevieve and fellow travellers for a farewell dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.

(BLD)

This morning, check out of the hotel and travel to the stunning Abercrombie House near Bathurst, considered a heritage treasure of the region. The mansion is a Victorian-Tudor-style house of the 1870s with an impressive façade and extensive grounds. Then, visit a private garden in Little Hartley featuring lavender, roses and dahlias, alongside a potager garden.

Arrive back in Sydney in the late afternoon, when tour arrangements conclude at the Four Seasons Hotel.
