Today, journey through the hills and valleys of the Tasmanian countryside to Glover Country, where the colonial artist John Glover lived and painted his fascinating landscapes.
Enjoy a private visit to Patterdale, Glover’s home in his final years. The farmhouse has been restored by the current owner and Glover’s studio and garden were rebuilt after one of his paintings.
Return to Launceston for a scenic chairlift ride over Cataract Gorge and enjoy the evening at leisure.

This morning, depart Launceston and travel to Freycinet, located on Tasmania’s scenic eastern coast and renowned for its pristine natural beauty, dramatic granite peaks and crystal-clear waters.
In the mid-afternoon, check into the hotel and enjoy some time at leisure before dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.

Today, cruise the stunning granite coastline of Freycinet National Park aboard the Schouten Passage II. Take in the dramatic pink peaks of the Hazards Range and the spectacular turquoise waters of Wineglass Bay.
Afterwards, travel to Cape Tourville Lighthouse and enjoy the remarkable coastal views of Sleepy Bay and the clear blue waters of the Tasman Sea.
This evening, dinner is at the hotel’s restaurant.

Depart Freycinet and travel along the east coast to Spring Bay Mill for a horticultural-focused tour of the property, which includes a market garden, beehive, worm farm and nursery. Learn about the area’s unique ecosystem and land rehabilitation projects before enjoying lunch on the property.

The farm, owned by sixth-generation farmers, is set on a 750-acre property with approximately 3,000 sheep and a preserved area designated to conservation, allowing for native birds, animals and plants to thrive.
After lunch, continue to the Salmon Ponds Heritage Hatchery and Gardens for a tour of the historic buildings, hatchery and fishponds.

Today, travel to Port Arthur on the Tasman Peninsula, a place of complex history, heritage and compelling stories of its notorious penal colony past.
Tour the UNESCO World Heritage-listed site that started out as a small timber station in 1830 and where shipbuilding by convict labourers became a growth industry for the colony. Hear about the history and characters who lived, worked and served time in this haunting location.
Return to Hobart in the late afternoon and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Begin the day with a visit to Salamanca Markets, Tasmania’s famous marketplace located at historic Salamanca Place. The markets have been operating for over 50 years, showcasing locally-made products.
In the afternoon, visit Crawleighwood Garden, nestled in the valley at Nicholls Rivulet. Owners Pav and Penny have worked on the garden for 30 years, transforming their passion project into a four-acre garden featuring Gondwana rainforest species, rhododendrons and many rare and unusual plants.
Return to Hobart in the late afternoon and, in the evening, join Mark and fellow travellers for a special farewell dinner at a premium waterfront restaurant.
