Arrive in Launceston on suggested flights and make your way to the hotel. Renaissance Tours or your travel agent can assist you with your flights and other travel arrangements including travel insurance, a private transfer to the hotel, accommodation before or after the tour and a room category upgrade.
At 18:00, join your tour leader Brigid Kennedy and fellow travellers for a welcome briefing at the hotel, followed by dinner.

Today, travel along the western part of the Tamar Valley and discover some of the region’s most exciting wines. Begin with a tasting at Tamar Ridge, famous for its cool-climate Pinot Noir, and admire the outstanding view over the Tamar River and beyond across to the mountains.
In the afternoon, visit Holm Oak one of the oldest vineyards in Tasmania that uses the original Pinot Noir and Cabernet plantings, and also cultivates Arneis, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc.
Return to Launceston for some time at leisure before dinner at a local restaurant.

This morning, visit Josef Chromy winery. Set among old English gardens and 100-year-old oak trees, the cellar door is housed in the original 1880s homestead. Enjoy a tasting of its award-winning wines followed by a gourmet lunch, featuring some of Tasmania’s finest local produce.
After lunch, continue to Evandale, one of Australia’s best-preserved historic towns, and enjoy an afternoon stroll in the town centre.
Tonight, dinner is at one of Launceston’s finest restaurants.

Travel along the eastern reaches of the Tamar Valley Wine Route to Sinapius Vineyard. Set amid the cool maritime slopes of Pipers River and inspired by the classic vineyard plantings of Burgundy, this site of mature vines produces distinguished sparkling wines, refined Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, alongside expressive aromatic whites.
Continue to Clover Hill, perched atop the Pipers River region. This family-owned vineyard produces elegant sparkling varieties following the méthode traditionnelle.
After lunch, enjoy a wine tasting at the acclaimed House of Arras, whose 2016 Grand Vintage won the Sparkling Wine Trophy at the 2024 and 2025 National Wine Show of Australia. This winery also gained international recognition in 2024 when Ed Carr, the chief winemaker, was named Sparkling Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine Challenge in London. He was the first Australian to receive this honour and only the second producer outside of Champagne.
Tonight, enjoy a special farewell dinner with Brigid and fellow tour members at the acclaimed Stillwater Restaurant overlooking the Tamar River, and savour some of Tasmania’s finest culinary creations.
