Arrive in Brisbane and make your way to the Rydges South Bank hotel. Renaissance Tours or your travel agent can assist you with your flights and other travel arrangements, including a private transfer to the hotel, accommodation before or after the tour or a room category upgrade.

At 18:00, join your tour leader Donna Cusack for a welcome briefing at the hotel.

Then, enjoy a special welcome dinner with Donna and fellow travellers.

This morning, transfer to the Thomas Dixon Centre for a private guided tour. This historic building has recently been transformed into a world-class performing arts precinct and is now the home of the Queensland Ballet.

After lunch, enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.

In the evening, transfer to the Brisbane Powerhouse for a performance of the acclaimed contemporary dance production, Colossus. Choreographed by internationally renowned Australian Stephanie Lake and with a soundtrack by legendary composer Robin Fox and featuring 50 dancers, this production has received five-star reviews in seasons around the world.

Begin the morning with a talk by Donna about today’s performance before enjoying a guided tour of QAGOMA’s Fairy Tales exhibition. Featuring diverse artworks from visual storytellers around the world, and exclusive to Brisbane, the exhibition includes contemporary art, intricate costumes, immersive installations and captivating film.

Then, walk to the nearby Playhouse Theatre for a matinee performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Performed by the Queensland Ballet, Shakespeare’s comedy is reimagined by choreographer Liam Scarlett, accompanied by a sublime music score by Felix Mendelssohn.

In the evening, celebrate the conclusion of the tour with a special farewell dinner with Donna and fellow travellers in one of Brisbane’s fine restaurants.
