Enjoy among the best seats for the inaugural Handa Opera at Millthorpe, an intimate, three-day operatic festival and brainchild of former Opera Australia Artistic Director Lyndon Terracini AM, featuring a mix of concerts, recitals and in-conversation sessions over the Easter weekend.
Be up close and personal with some of Australia’s finest singers, including Natalie Aroyan, Luke Gabbedy and Agnes Sarkis, who perform some of opera’s most-loved arias, while celebrated Italian baritone Giorgio Caoduro performs an all-Rossini virtuoso program.
The performances take place in the NSW Central West village of Millthorpe, located close to the state’s gourmet capital of Orange.

Meet tour leader Mairi Nicolson and fellow travellers in the Sydney CBD (location to be advised) at 9:00am. Then, travel by coach from Sydney to Orange with a stop en-route for lunch.

In the late afternoon, depart for Millthorpe and attend the opening Gala Concert featuring iconic opera arias and duets, along with a special instrumental performance, all accompanied by the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Paul Terracini. (Program to be announced)

In the late afternoon, return to Millthorpe for a night of Rossini’s most loved arias, performed by Italian baritone Giorgio Caoduro before indulging in a gourmet dinner at the renowned Tonic Restaurant.

Then, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before a concert of emerging opera stars.
