Adelaide Festival 2024
In the company of classical music specialists Phillip Sametz and Mairi Nicolson, join us for seven days of world-class performances by leading Australian and international artists.
Enjoy among the best seats in the house for the festival’s centrepiece production for 2024, Igor Stravinsky’s opera, The Nightingale and Other Fables, directed by Canadian auteur Robert Lepage.
In addition to the keynote opera, attend another major production of this year’s festival, Bertolt Brecht’s The Threepenny Opera. Directed by acclaimed Australian director Barrie Kosky, this interpretation of the legendary 1928 production makes its Australian premiere for the Adelaide Festival.
Attend two further theatre productions, including Guuranda, written and directed by Jacob Boehme, and Blue, written by and starring Balnaves Fellow Thomas Weatherall, and delight in a couple of matinee music recitals in the city’s renowned Elder Hall.
