Harlequinade in Melbourne

Be enchanted by the light-hearted charm of The Australian Ballet’s Harlequinade and attend a special ballet gala dedicated to David McAllister, one of Australia’s leading ballet figures.

Feast your eyes on a colour-saturated performance of Alexi Ratmansky’s Harlequinade, a tribute to the commedia dell’arte tradition produced by The Australian Ballet in conjunction with the American Ballet Theatre.

Then, enjoy a couple of days in the charming countryside surrounding Daylesford visiting a number of idyllic gardens in full springtime bloom including Lavendula Farm, with its European-style manicured gardens and 19th century stone farmstead, and The Convent Galleries, nestled on the crest of the Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens.

Finally, return to Melbourne for a special gala tribute to The Australian Ballet’s outgoing artistic director, David McAllister, in celebration of his career as both a principal artist and as the company’s creative leader.
