Embrace the gentle autumnal change by spending five glorious days in Orange, New South Wales’ food and wine mecca, with intimate chamber music as your backdrop.
Enjoy seven performances of the 2023 Orange Chamber Music Festival, featuring amongst others acclaimed harpist Emily Granger, the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra, chamber orchestra ensemble Camerata, the resident Orava Quartet and other guest artists including saxophonist Jay Byrnes.
Between performances, indulge in gastronomic events at distinguished restaurants with local chefs and cellar doors, showcasing the very best of Orange’s hospitality and produce.

Meet Andy Bromberger and fellow travellers at a Sydney CBD hotel at 9:30am (location to be advised). Then, travel by coach from Sydney to Orange with a stop en route for lunch.
This evening, attend the opening gala of the Orange Chamber Music Festival at Zona Restaurant, performed by guitarists Andrew Blanch and Vladimir Gorbach, forming an extraordinary musical pairing of the highest calibre.

Begin the morning with a pre-performance talk by Andy and attend a concert in the Canobolas Hall performed by Duo de Fesch and Orange-born violinist Rachael Kwa, featuring works by De Fesch, Vivaldi and Handel.

Then, join ‘The Wine Man’ Peter Bourne at the Koomooloo vineyard, recently launched by iconic Australian winemaker Philip Shaw. Enjoy a tasting of Philip’s wines, followed by lunch, overlooking the property’s sweeping views of Mount Canobolas before returning to Orange.
This evening, attend the festival gala at Kinross Wolaroi School. Tonight’s program features the acclaimed visiting ensembles Camerata and Orava Quartet, alongside baritone saxophonist Jay Byrnes.

After a pre-performance talk with Andy, walk to the nearby Orange Regional Conservatorium for a morning concert of Schubert’s Winterreise, performed by baritone David Greco and pianist Vatche Jambazian.

Enjoy some time at leisure before attending an afternoon performance at the Orange Regional Gallery by acclaimed American harpist Emily Granger, violist James Wannan and flautist Jonathan Henderson, including Debussy’s late sonata for flute.

After dinner, return to the Orange Regional Conservatorium for an evening concert performed by the classical string ensemble Orava Quartet.
