Dr Alex McKay is a fellow at the Royal Asiatic Society in London and the author of a number of books and articles, mostly on Himalayan history and culture. He obtained his Ph.D. at London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies and has held lecturing and research posts at both London University and in Leiden in the Netherlands. Alex has worked, lived and travelled widely in Asia and North Africa and has led numerous tours in those regions.
