Alex McKay is a fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society in London and the author of several books and articles, with a focus on cultural history, ancient religions and art. He obtained his Ph.D. from the School of Oriental and African Studies at London University and has held academic roles at both London University and Leiden University in the Netherlands. With a rich background of living, working and travelling across Asia and North Africa, Alex has presented numerous lectures at the Art Gallery of NSW and has led members’ tours over almost a decade, sharing his deep knowledge of art and cultural heritage with audiences and tour members.
