Andrew Wright joined The Australian Ballet in 2004 before travelling to Europe in 2007 on a company scholarship to observe performances, take company class and receive coaching with international companies. He was promoted to coryphée in 2008 and was also a Telstra Ballet Dancer of the Year nominee. In 2010 he performed with the Oregon Ballet Theater, and in 2012 he was promoted to Soloist with The Australian Ballet. During his time with the company he performed a wide range of principal and featured roles from both the classical and contemporary repertoire and travelled extensively on the company’s international tours.
