Julie Ewington is an independent writer, curator and broadcaster. During a long career, Julie taught art history at Australian universities, always focusing on modern and contemporary art, whether in Europe, America, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. She is an authority on contemporary Australasian art, especially by women, and for many years was Head of Australian Art at QAGOMA in Brisbane where she was a curatorial contributor to the Gallery’s Asia Pacific Triennial series.
