Geraldine Doogue is a presenter on ABC Radio National’s Saturday Extra program, which specialises in foreign policy, regional issues and agenda-changing commentators.  She was previously a reporter for the West Australian and The Australian newspapers as well as 2UE, and Channel 10. She also played a central role in ABC TV’s coverage of the first Gulf War in 1991, receiving a United Nations Media Peace Prize and two Penguin Awards. Geraldine has been awarded a Churchill Fellowship for social and cultural reporting and holds an Honorary Doctor of Letters from the University of Western Australia, Macquarie University, Sydney University and the ANU. Additionally, she is an Officer in the Order of Australia for distinguished service on issues involving ethics, values, religion and social change.
