Kate Kangaslahti left Australia twenty years ago to pursue her love of European art and architecture. From the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice she moved to the British Museum, before completing her PhD in the History of Art at the University of Cambridge. Having previously taught at institutions in Paris and Singapore, she is now a lecturer and researcher at KU Leuven, Belgium’s leading university. A specialist in nineteenth and twentieth century painting, she regularly contributes to exhibitions in international museums. A Brussels resident for nearly ten years, Kate takes great pride in showing others the artistic charms of the Low Countries and neighbouring France.
