In addition to the art fairs, explore Hong Kong’s latest world-class cultural landmarks, including the Hong Kong Palace Museum, which opened in 2022 and home to over 900 priceless treasures, as well as the M+, which opened in 2021, with its diverse collection of contemporary art.

Itinerary

Arrive in Hong Kong on suggested flights and make your way to the hotel. After a morning briefing, discover the history of Kowloon with a guided walk along Hong Kong’s historic harbour front, featuring well-known Hong Kong landmarks such as the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, the former Marina Police headquarters and the Peninsula Hotel. Explore the back streets and lively markets of Kowloon.

After lunch, the remainder of the afternoon is free until the opening night of Art Central this evening. Art Central showcases the next generation of talent from some of the most established galleries across Asia and the globe, alongside a dynamic program of ambitious installations, engaging panel discussions and experimental film.

This afternoon attend the VIP Preview of Art Basel Hong Kong, firmly established as Asia’s premier art fair, showcasing the latest developments in art from across Asia as well as the best from the West.

This morning, visit M+ and Hong Kong Palace Museum in the West Kowloon Cultural District, a new vibrant cultural quarter for Hong Kong.

Start at the M+ Museum, a beacon of visual culture, showcasing a pre-eminent collection of visual art, design, architecture and moving images from Hong Kong, Greater China, Asia and beyond. Discover the multifaceted narratives of visual culture via exhibitions and displays that reflect our time and place.

Next, head to the Hong Kong Palace Museum, which presents an impressive array of art and cultural relics from the Palace Museum in Beijing as well as the finest objects from cultural institutions worldwide. Explore its meticulously curated galleries, and delve into centuries of Chinese history, culture and imperial heritage.

The afternoon is at leisure for a second visit to Art Central and Art Basel Hong Kong.

Explore a different side of Hong Kong today with a visit to the serene Chi Lin Nunnery and Garden. Traverse the tranquil paths and admire the meticulously manicured landscapes and traditional Tang Dynasty architecture.

Later, explore the vibrant Soho District, renowned for its eclectic blend of street art and historic charm. Start at Shelley Street, where the murals captivate with their colourful creativity and unique art installations. Ride the Mid-Level Escalators, a modern marvel offering a glimpse of the bustling life below, before stopping at Man Mo Temple, which, though small, offers an atmospheric retreat with its incense-filled halls dedicated to the gods of literature and war.

This evening, celebrate the end of the tour with a special farewell dinner with Claudia and your fellow travellers.
