(D)

Begin exploring Singapore with an introductory orientation coach tour of the ‘City in a Garden’. Visit the CapitaSpring building and ascend to the breathtaking Sky Garden, offering panoramic views amidst an oasis of lush, high-altitude flora.

Discover the vibrant heart of Little India, a culturally rich neighbourhood bursting with colour and aroma. Explore the lively streets filled with traditional shops, aromatic spice stalls and vibrant textiles before returning to the hotel for some time at leisure.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a private, guided tour of the impressive Asian Civilisations Museum, housed in an elegant, historic neoclassical building on the Singapore River. Explore the rich material heritage of Asia through the museum’s world-class collections, tracing the ancestral cultures and maritime trade links that have shaped Singapore’s diverse identity.

Afterwards, enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant.

(BD)

In the morning, discover some of the historical gardens at Fort Canning Park, including the recently redesigned Spice Garden. The garden was once the site of Singapore’s first botanical and experimental garden started by Sir Stamford Raffles in 1822.

Later, continue to the National Gallery of Singapore for a private, guided tour of the gallery’s highlights, including the exhibits which feature the world’s largest public collection of Singaporean and Southeast Asian art.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

(BD)

This morning, drive to Gardens by the Bay for an exploration of this unique nature park. Built on 101 hectares of reclaimed land and opened in 2012, Gardens by the Bay is testimony to the garden revolution which Singapore has experienced in recent decades. The centrepieces are two huge, cooled conservatories, each around a hectare in size.

Begin in the Flower Dome, which bursts with flora from the Mediterranean, South Africa, Australia and South America. Enjoy lunch nestled inside the conservatory before exploring the Cloud Forest, replicating the cool, moist conditions of the mountain forests of Southeast Asia and South America.

Return to the hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

(BL)

Today, continue the exploration of Singaporean flora with a visit to the city’s historic Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed tropical garden founded in 1859. The extensive National Orchid Garden contains over 1,000 species, including cultivars dedicated to visiting dignitaries like Queen Elizabeth II, Emperor Akihito of Japan and Diana, Princess of Wales.

After lunch, be immersed in a traditional Chinese tea experience in Chinatown, Singapore’s historic quarter, to discover the intricate art and philosophy of tea preparation.

In the evening, return to Gardens by the Bay to enjoy the sound and light show spectacular in the gardens.

(BL)

This morning, travel to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, a pioneering example of biophilic design. Unlike a conventional medical facility, this unusual complex features a lush garden oasis intentionally planted to enhance well-being and relaxation.

Afterwards, visit one of the 1,000 community gardens in Singapore. In addition to growing edible crops, community gardens provide Singaporeans with a platform to bond with their wider community. They have also been instrumental in attracting wildlife to the city area.

Enjoy an afternoon at leisure before a special farewell dinner with Robin and fellow travellers at one of Singapore’s renowned fine restaurants.
