By day, uncover the secrets and stories behind Broadway's famed doors and side entrances. By night, be captivated by world-class musical theatre, from the classic showbiz journey of Gypsy to the glittering excess of The Queen of Versailles, the jazz-age allure of The Great Gatsby, the provocative intimacy of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club and the raw, youthful rebellion of The Outsiders.
In addition to performances at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Centre, explore some of the iconic landmarks of the Big Apple and enjoy private tours of major cultural institutions like the Whitney Museum of American Art.

This morning, join your tour leader Anne-Maree and fellow travellers for a welcome briefing and pre-performance talk about the coming days’ performances. Afterwards, step into the dazzling world of Broadway on a private, guided walking tour. Pass by iconic theatres, stroll through Shubert Alley and Duffy Square, and hear thrilling insider stories, from celebrity encounters to ghostly legends.
After lunch at a local restaurant, return to the hotel for some time at leisure.
In the evening, attend the first performance of the tour, Death Becomes Her, at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Be immersed in the darkly comedic world of this new musical, based on the classic 1992 film, following the tumultuous relationship between actress Madeline Ashton and writer Helen Sharp (portrayed by Tony Award nominees Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard respectively), as they vie for love and fame, leading them to a mysterious potion promising everlasting beauty.

This evening, experience the timeless allure of Gypsy at the Majestic Theatre, starring six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald as the indomitable Rose. This acclaimed revival, directed by George C. Wolfe, is an exploration of the pursuit of the American Dream and delves into the complexities of ambition and family dynamics, set against the backdrop of vaudeville’s decline and burlesque’s rise.

After a morning talk by Anne-Maree, embark on a private, guided coach tour of the Upper West Side and Harlem. The area has been associated for a long period with crime and poverty, but Harlem is now experiencing an economic and social revival.
The afternoon is at leisure to relax or to further explore the Big Apple.
This evening, after dinner, attend a performance of The New York Pops, the largest independent pops orchestra in the United States, at the famous Carnegie Hall. Under the baton of Steven Reineke, the orchestra and guest singers will perform well-known songs from Broadway musicals inspired by iconic films, alongside beloved tunes from movie adaptations of Broadway’s greatest hits.

After a morning at leisure, attend a matinee performance of The Great Gatsby at the renowned Broadway Theatre, one of the few Broadway venues located directly on Broadway. This lavish musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel, set in the Roaring Twenties, captures the era’s opulent glamour and the complexities of love and ambition. Starring Ryan McCartan as the enigmatic Jay Gatsby and Sarah Hyland as the enchanting Daisy Buchanan, the production features a jazz- and pop-influenced score.
This evening, revel in the immersive world of Cabaret at The Kit Kat Club, housed within the August Wilson Theatre. This bold and provocative musical transforms the space into a decadent haven where artists, outsiders and dreamers gather to rule the night. Featuring a jazz-infused score and electrifying performances, the production captures the allure and tension of 1930s Berlin, blending hedonism with an undercurrent of political change.

In the afternoon, head to the Jacobs Theatre for a performance of The Outsiders, the 2024 Tony Award-winning Best Musical. Adapted from S.E. Hinton’s seminal novel and Francis Ford Coppola’s iconic film, this groundbreaking production, set in 1967 Oklahoma, follows Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade and their Greaser family as they navigate the challenges of self-discovery amidst rivalry with the affluent Socs. Featuring a dynamic original score, The Outsiders explores themes of friendship, family and belonging, capturing the essence of youthful rebellion and the search for identity.

After breakfast, join Anne-Maree for a pre-performance talk. Then, venture into the vibrant heart of Manhattan, for a tour starting at the modern Hudson Yards with its iconic Vessel and The Shed. Then, stroll along the High Line’s elevated greenery, visit the floating oasis of Little Island and wander through the historic, charming streets of the West Village.
After lunch at a local restaurant, enjoy a private, guided tour of the Whitney Museum of American Art, which contains an extensive range of twentieth-century and contemporary American art in a cantilevered building designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano.

In the evening, transfer to the Lincoln Centre for dinner at The Grand Tier restaurant before a performance of Bizet’s passionate opera, Carmen, with mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard making her Metropolitan Opera debut as the fiery title character. The opera’s sultry music and intense drama come alive under the baton of French conductor Fabien Gabel, in Carrie Cracknell’s bold new production.

After a morning at leisure, in the afternoon attend the last performance of the tour, The Queen of Versailles, for its first Broadway production at the St. James Theatre. This new musical, inspired by the true story of American socialite Jackie Siegel and her pursuit of the American Dream, stars multi-award-winning Kristin Chenoweth as Jackie, as she navigates the extravagant and complex world of wealth and fame, exploring the realities and dreams of a modern-day Cinderella story. With a score by Stephen Schwartz and directied by Michael Arden, the show blends humour, drama and heart.
Afterwards, enjoy a special farewell dinner with Anne-Maree and fellow travellers to celebrate the conclusion of the tour.
