Anne-Maree McDonald is a musical director, singer, pianist, producer and educator with over 40 years of professional performing and teaching experience. She studied opera and piano at the Victorian College of the Arts and graduated from the University of Melbourne in classical singing and piano. She joined the Australian Opera as a young principal soprano where she performed main roles, including Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro and Clorinda in La Cenerentola.
She has also starred in principal roles in musical theatre productions, including Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and Chava and Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof. She has directed several shows and conducted numerous productions, including Trial by Jury and Hat’s Off! Mardi Gras. Anne-Maree was also a teacher, tutor and musical director for The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) for eight years.
