Anne‑Maree McDonald is a musical director, singer, pianist, producer, and educator whose career has been hitting high notes for more than 40 years. She trained in opera and piano at the Victorian College of the Arts before graduating from the University of Melbourne with qualifications in classical singing and piano. From there, she leapt onto the national stage, joining the Australian Opera as a young principal soprano, shining in leading roles such as Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro and Clorinda in La Cenerentola.

Her talents don’t stop at opera. Anne‑Maree has lit up the musical theatre world in standout roles including Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and both Chava and Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof. She’s also no stranger to the conductor’s baton, having directed and conducted productions ranging from Trial by Jury to Hat’s Off! Mardi Gras.

Beyond the stage, Anne‑Maree shares her expertise as a sought‑after singing tutor, mentoring the next generation of performers at leading institutions across Australia and China.
