Begin with Puccini’s La Bohème, presented in a new production by director Constantine Costi, before entering the surreal world of Mozart’s The Magic Flute, directed by Sir Thomas Allen, with imaginative sets and costumes inspired by the works of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells.
Then, attend two rarely performed French one-act operas, La Voix humaine and L'enfant et les sortilèges, performed in concert and featuring soprano superstar Anna Caterina Antonacci in her Opera Australia debut.
Conclude with Donizetti’s charming opera, The Elixir of Love, set in 1915 outback Australia by theatre royalty Simon Phillips and starring renowned Australian soprano Stacey Alleaume as Adina.
