In the company of classical music specialist Phillip Sametz, enjoy among the best seats for this exclusive event that brings the full grandeur of Italy’s legendary staging: a 100-piece orchestra and 150-member chorus, in addition to towering sets, opulent costumes and sweeping ensemble scenes that recreate the splendour of ancient Egypt across 100 metres of stage architecture.
Experience German-Austrian tenor Jonas Kaufmann as the Egyptian general Radamès and two-time Grammy Award-winning soprano Angel Blue in the title role, and celebrate Verdi’s immortal masterpiece in this once-in-a-generation production.

After breakfast, attend a private pre-performance talk by Phillip. Afterwards, transfer by coach to a historic winery in the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges for lunch before returning to the hotel in the mid-afternoon for some time at leisure.
In the evening, walk the short distance to the Adelaide Oval to attend Franco Zeffirelli’s monumental production of Verdi’s Aida, the largest operatic performance ever staged in Australia. From Italy’s famed Arena di Verona, this production will be staged on an unprecedented scale, bringing together more than 600 performers to deliver Verdi’s powerful music alongside Zeffirelli’s cinematic vision. The 100-piece orchestra and the 150-member chorus, under the baton of internationally acclaimed Italian conductor Nicola Luisotti, accompany tenor Jonas Kaufmann, starring as Radamés, two-time Grammy Award-winning American soprano Angel Blue in the title role and Latvian mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča as Amneris.
