Itinerary

Arrive in Sydney on suggested Qantas flights. Renaissance Tours or your travel agent can assist you with your flights and other travel arrangements, including extra nights’ accommodation and a private transfer from the airport.

At 9:00am, meet your tour leader Andy Bromberger and fellow travellers at the rear entrance of the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. Then, travel by coach from Sydney to Orange with a stop enroute for lunch.

This evening, attend the opening performance of the Orange Chamber Music Festival at Banksia Pavilion, performed by Lior, one of Australia’s most successful singer-songwriters, accompanied by the energetic Nomad String Quartet and acclaimed acoustic bass player Brett Hirst.

This morning, head to the historic Boree Cabonne Homestead to hear a selection of chamber music works by Joseph Haydn for baryton, an 18th-century bowed string instrument, performed as he intended. The concert is performed by the Gryphon Baryton Trio, with Laura Vaughan (baryton), Katie Yap (viola) and Josephine Vains (cello).

Afterwards, transfer to a local winery to indulge in a special wine tasting followed by lunch, before returning to the hotel for the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.

In the evening, attend a concert at the Orange Civic Theatre in a special tribute to the American composer George Gershwin, featuring the Nexas Quartet with piano virtuoso Simon Tedeschi.
