Julie Ewington is an independent writer, curator and broadcaster. She is an authority on contemporary Australasian art, especially by women, and for many years was Head of Australian Art at QAGOMA in Brisbane where she was a curatorial contributor to the Gallery’s Asia Pacific Triennial series. Since 1985 Julie has visited New Zealand regularly, publishes in New Zealand catalogues and journals, and maintains strong links with artists and craftspeople there.
