The Renaissance Tours Vienna Nights Festival
Be inspired by the imperial grandeur of Vienna through the music of Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven and Brahms with intimate chamber music concerts in the ballroom of Tasmania’s glorious Epsom House.
Crafted exclusively for Renaissance Tours patrons, delight in five specially curated performances over the weekend by the lauded Seraphim Trio, acclaimed Australian soprano Lorina Gore and lead violinist and Sydney Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Andrew Haveron, showcasing works by some of Vienna’s most celebrated composers.
Each performance will be introduced by festival host and classical music broadcaster Christopher Lawrence, while an array of gourmet food and wines will be provided between concerts.
Arrive in Hobart on suggested Qantas flights and make your way to the hotel.
At 17:00 meet tour leader Christopher Lawrence and fellow tour members at the hotel and transfer to Epsom House. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome glass of champagne and canapés before an introduction by festival host Christopher Lawrence.
Then, enjoy the first concert of the weekend with a performance by soprano Lorina Gore, violinist and Sydney Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Andrew Haveron, and the Seraphim Trio.

This morning, you can enjoy some free time to explore the iconic Salamanca market.
Alternatively, join our organised private tour to the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona) including lunch (optional; extra cost applies). Travel by ferry to Mona and enjoy an exclusive private guided tour of the largest privately-funded museum in the southern hemisphere, housing antiquities and modern and contemporary art from the collection of David Walsh. After lunch at the nearby Moorilla Estate, transfer to Epsom House.
This afternoon and evening, attend two further concerts by the Seraphim Trio, soprano Lorina Gore and violinist Andrew Haveron. A gourmet plated dinner will be served between the concerts.

In the mid-morning, return to Epsom House for coffee and cake before a performance by Lorina Gore, Andrew Haveron and the Seraphim Trio.

Beethoven – Violin Sonata No. 9 (Kreutzer)
Following a buffet lunch, return to the ballroom for the final concert.

After the performance, enjoy a drinks reception with the musicians.
Return to the hotel and later join Christopher and fellow travellers for a farewell dinner.

Seraphim Trio
The Seraphim Trio is one of Australia’s pre-eminent piano trios. Over the last two decades, the members of the Seraphim Trio – Helen Ayres (violin), Anna Goldsworthy (piano) and Timothy Nankervis (cello) – have remained steadfastly committed to chamber music. The trio has regularly performed at the Melbourne International Arts Festival, the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival and the Adelaide Festival of Arts. The Seraphim Trio regularly collaborates with Australia’s leading musicians including Diana Doherty, Paul Dean, Lisa Harper-Brown and David Elton.
Lorina Gore
Acclaimed Australian soprano Lorina Gore has been a principal artist with Opera Australia since 2008. Her roles have included Violetta (La Traviata), Leïla (Les pêcheurs de perles), Yum-Yum (The Mikado), Woglinde (Der Ring des Nibelungen), and Pip (Moby-Dick) for the State Opera of South Australia, for which she received a Helpmann Award nomination. Lorina received a Helpmann Award and a Green Room Award in 2017 for her role as Roxana in Opera Australia’s King Roger. She subsequently went on to win a second Helpmann Award for her performance in Brett Dean’s Hamlet as Ophelia at the Adelaide Festival in 2018, a performance for which she received high critical praise.
Andrew Haveron
Andrew Haveron has worked with all the major symphony orchestras in the UK and many others around the world. After many years as first violinist of the internationally acclaimed Brodsky Quartet, he became concertmaster of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and joined the world-class Philharmonia Orchestra. Since 2013, he has been the lead violinist and concertmaster of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
