Louise Marshall

Dr Louise Marshall is Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Department of Art History at the University of Sydney, where she taught for more than thirty years. She is an internationally renowned expert on Italian Renaissance art, on which she has published extensively. A popular lecturer for the Art Gallery Society of NSW, she is known for her ability to enthuse and inspire. Louise’s research explores the interaction of art, religion and epidemic disease, specifically the bubonic plague, in Renaissance Italy, from the infamous Black Death of 1348 through to the early modern period.
